Derrick Ndahiro is a dedicated and results-driven professional with a profound commitment to advancing gender equality and digital literacy. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Gender Studies and Development at the University of Rwanda, Derrick possesses extensive expertise in gender issues, community engagement, and educational initiatives. Derrick's academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, where he majored in Gender Studies and minored in Criminology. His robust understanding of gender dynamics is complemented by practical experience in project management and facilitation, particularly within gender and development contexts. He has been actively involved in prestigious Wikimedia conferences and has played a key role in promoting gender-focused initiatives such as the WikiGap challenge, which encourages women and girls to participate in increasing their online visibility through Wikipedia and its sister projects. Derrick's skills encompass critical analysis, advanced computer proficiency, and project planning, all tailored to gender mainstreaming.
