Rwanda Men’s Resource Center (RWAMREC) trough Bandebereho scale up Program implemented in collaboration with MOH/RBC/MCCH Department and Musanze District with support from Promundo US; organized a Training of Trainers of community health workers Supervisors aiming at equipping them with knowledge and skills to deliver Bandebereho Program P training to Community Health Workers.
Bandebereho Program P aims at engaging men in Maternal New Born and Child health promotion, prevention of Intimate Partner Violence Prevention, Healthier Couple relationships, equitable and engaged care giving and engaging men in unpaid care work for women’s economic empowerment.
The training of trainers of CHWs Supervisors from 16 health centers in Musanze district was conducted from 23rd of September 2019 up to 04 October 2019 at Centre d’Accueil Saint Vincent de Muhoza in Musanze District. During the training, participants are expected to acquire knowledge and skills to challenge their own gender inequitable behaviors and practices but also skills and competencies to facilitate the training of Bandebereho Program.
At the end of the training, CHWs Supervisors will be involved in training community health workers whom in turn will run group education activities of expectant fathers, couples with Under 5 years’ children in their respective villages.
