In celebrating the International Men’s Day on this 19 of November very year, RWAMREC’ Leadership would like to wish all Men around Rwanda and in the entire World a very happy “International Men’s Day” and join other Colleagues worldwide to celebrate this good day.

As the international theme reads "Working to Expand Reproductive options for Men", RWAMREC works hard in line with this theme to promote positive forms of masculinities in Rwanda, so that men stay healthy and positive to themselves. Through "Bandebereho & Boys4Change" programs, we create a safe space for men to discuss about men’s experience of masculinities in order to challenge and end behaviors and practices that are harmful to them.

Changes in masculine behaviors can’t be effective and sustainable without women’s support. So, We at RWAMREC, would like to encourage Men to work in partnership with women, especially our Mothers, Wives and Sisters so that they support us in our journeys in transforming men’s sexual and reproductive health attitudes.

Together we can change many of our cultural and traditional norms that affect us as men in health, so that we become all positive partners in promoting healthy families.

Together we can end risky behaviors, we, men unnecessarily take on detriment of our own lives and wellbeing. We need to keep our lives safe for ourselves and for our beloved ones. Health is wealth, if we are real men, then we need to keep our health preciously.

Once again, have a Happy International Men’s day and enjoy it in your families!
